Ordering single tickets

 

The sale of single tickets for concerts of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will start after the sale of subscriptions has been completed, on 1 June 2014. If you order quickly, it will be possible to obtain single tickets for almost any Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra concert. Tickets can be ordered on the Internet, by telephone or at the Concertgebouw box office.

Ordering on the Internet

This website contains information about all of the orchestra’s concerts. You can also search for your concert by date in the concert agenda  or by the name of the conductor, soloist or composer in the choose your concert section. Then click on the tickets button and follow the steps in the ordering process to complete your order. 

Your order will be processed by the Concertgebouw. For online orders, the Concertgebouw charges a surcharge of € 1.80 for each concert ticket for administration costs, up to a maximum of € 10.80. 

Payment is possible using iDEAL, AMEX, Visa, MasterCard or a podiumkaart pass. Tickets will be sent to you in good time. If the concert takes place within five days or if you live outside the Netherlands, the tickets will be set aside for you at the box office.

Ordering by telephone

You can book your tickets by telephone on any day between 10.00 and 17.00 by calling the Concertgebouw line: 0900 671 83 45 (€ 1 per call). Tickets ordered by telephone must be paid for and/or collected within one week of booking. Tickets ordered for a concert that will take place within one week must be paid for on booking or collected at the latest 45 minutes before the start of the concert.

For all bookings by telephone, the Concertgebouw charges a surcharge of € 2.30 for each concert ticket for administration costs, up to a maximum of € 13.80.

Ordering at the Concertgebouw box office

The Concertgebouw box office is open from Monday to Friday from 13.00 to 19.00 and on Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 19.00. From 19.00, the box office is open for the sale of tickets for that evening only.

Extra ticket information

Sprint Seats

Last-minute Tickets for Young People Thirty and Under
Forty-five minutes before every concert given by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra at the Concertgebouw, young people aged thirty and under may purchase so-called Sprint Seats for €12.50 at the Box Office. Sprint Seats may be purchased only upon presentation of proper identification, may not be reserved and are non-transferable. In certain cases, the management may decide to restrict the number of Sprint Seats available.

Discount Cards

Holders of the CJP (Cultureel Jongeren Paspoort) or other discount cards must present these when purchasing tickets, and when gaining admission to concerts. Entrée members can take advantage of the Entrée selection of RCO concerts for €10. For more information about Entrée, log on to http://www.concertvrienden.nl/entree/.

Last-minute Tickets for Sold-out Concerts

Even for sold-out concerts, tickets may still become available the day of the concert. You can purchase these tickets directly at the Concertgebouw Box Office or reserve them over the phone up until 5.00 p.m. If a concert is completely sold out, the Box Office employees will assign numbers an hour and fifteen minutes before the concert for the purchase of uncollected reserved tickets.

Free Public Transport

Now your Concertgebouw admission ticket also entitles you to free GVB public transport in Amsterdam (trams and buses only). Information for travellers is available at www.9292.nl. For daytime concerts, tickets are valid three hours before and up to four hours after the beginning of the concert and for evening concerts from three hours before the beginning of the concert up to and including the last service (excluding night buses). All Municipal Transport Authority services are subject to the GVB general transport terms and conditions.

Exchanging tickets

Do you have a concert ticket but would you prefer to attend a concert on a different day? You can offer to swap your ticket(s) using the exchange service. It is not possible to exchange tickets at the box office.

Diner at the Spiegelzaal

Before the concerts in the series B and two concerts in the series E it is possible to enjoy a dinner in the Spiegelzaal. To order, please use the online form or contact the Concertgebouwlijn: 0900 671 83 45 (€ 1 per call) between 10.00 and 17.00.
