Auditions will be held on 25, (first round), 26 (second round) and 27 (final round) March 2019 in Amsterdam.

Repertoire will include:

  • Mozart, K. 216, 218 or 219
  • Romantic concerto of choice:
    Beethoven/Mendelssohn (E minor)/Brahms/Tchaikovsky/Sibelius

This audition is open to:

  • Dutch musicians
  • musicians form outside of Holland, provided that they can legally work in the Netherlands without work permits (Musicians who are citizens of: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland).

Recorded solos and excerpts may be requested later at the discretion of the audition committee. Please do not send a recording with your resume at this time.

The orchestra's activities include concerts in the Netherlands and abroad as well as radio, cd and television recordings and a broad range of streaming activities.

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra works to provide its members with suitable instruments, which are loaned to the musicians during their employment with the orchestra.

We reserve the right to make a preliminary selection based on letters of application.
