German soprano Anna Lucia Richter was trained by Kurt Widmer in Basel and Klesie Kelly-Moog in her hometown Cologne. She received further coaching from Margreet Honig, Edda Moser, Christoph Prégardien and Edith Wiens.

Richter won several international awards, including the prestigious Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award.

Recent concert highlights have been appearances with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and Riccardo Chailly, the Budapest Festival Orchestra and Iván Fischer, as well as the London Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Bernard Haitink.

Her operatic repertoire includes roles such as Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Eurydice and La Musica in Monteverdi’s Orfeo, and Elisabeth Zimmer in Henze’s Elegie für junge Liebenden. Anna Lucia Richter has given song recitals at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, the Rheingau Music Festival, and Wigmore Hall in London. At New Yorks’s Carnegie Hall she performed her acclaimed song cycle program consisting of Eichendorff settings and improvisations, accompanied by Michael Gees.

In April 2016 Anna Lucia Richter made her debut with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Bach’s Magnificat conducted by Iván Fischer.
