Anna Maria Wünsch began to play the violin at the age of four and switched to viola in 2009. She has won several prizes in Germany, including a special award at the ‘Jugend Musiziert’ competition.
As a passionate chamber musician she participated in many masterclasses and from 2017 onwards has been a student of the Krzyzowa music festival, where she performed with Schmuel Aschkenasi, Charles Neidich and others. In July 2018 she participates in the South African Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival for the second time.
Anna Maria Wünsch holds a scholarship of the Dörkenstiftung and is also supported by the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund, enabling her to create her own concert evenings and to play as a soloist with orchestras, including the Dogma Chamber Orchestra.
Anna Maria is currently studying with Gareth Lubbe at the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen. She participated in masterclasses with Babara Westphal, Erich Krüger and Antoine Tamestit.
