Tarantula is a spider, a very lonely spider. The thing is, Tarantula can’t spin herself a web. All the other animals – from the proud lion to the friendly chickens – have amazing talents. But nobody pays her any attention! Until she discovers she has the magic power to make the other animals dance. Then everything changes…

Then you won’t want to miss Tarantula and the Dance of the Animals, a fun and exciting Family Concert in the Recital Hall of the Concertgebouw for children aged six to twelve. Based on Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals and other fantastic animal music, the programme features musicians from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, together with performer Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti, who will be introducing you to the most fabulous creatures.
A collaboration with Oorkaan, this concert is being directed by Caecilia Thunnissen. The dramatist is Erin Coppens.
Lionet Ziblat arranged the music, Lisanne van Aert wrote the text, and the costume designer is Tessa Verbei. The producer is Marianne Rübsaam, and the production assistant is Susanna Sonderen. Desiree van Gelderen is in charge of lighting.
