‘Tenor Daniel Behle is already on a par with established masters who share his Fach,’ wrote the respected German opera magazine Opernwelt in 2014. Behle has garnered acclaim not only as a concert, lied and opera singer, but also as a composer.
The versatile German tenor’s repertoire ranges from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary compositions, and he collaborates with such conductors as Christian Thielemann, Marek Janowski, Jiří Bělohlávek and early music specialist René Jacobs. He also has a steadily growing discography, having recorded Schubert’s Dichterliebe, songs by Richard Strauss, and his debut album featuring arias by Gluck on the Decca label, to name just a few – all of which have garnered critical acclaim.
Behle is making his first solo appearance with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
