David Fischer completed his singing studies in Freiburg with Reginaldo Pinheiro, and also took masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender. In 2015, he made his debut at Baden-Baden Theatre as Trémolini in Offenbach’s La princesse de Trébizonde.

The young German tenor crowned the year of 2016 by winning the Geneva Competition, and went on to join the Bonn Opera, where his roles included Rev. Horace Adams in Britten’s Peter Grimes, Pang in Puccini’s Turandot, and Monostatos in Mozart’s Zauberflöte. Since September 2019 he is an ensemble member of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf/Duisburg).

As a concert singer, David Fischer performed Stravinsky’s ballet Pulcinella with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sylvain Cambreling, Mendelssohn’s Walpurgisnacht with Frieder Bernius and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, and Bach’s St John Passion with the NDR Radio Philharmonic in Hanover under Andrew Manze, among others.

With his Lied partner Pauliina Tukiainen, he has given recitals at the Swiss Festival classique des Haudères, in Geneva, and at the Schumannfest in Bonn.
