Morley

soprano

The daughter of a violinist, Erin Morley spent her early years studying violin and piano, and frequently collaborated with her mother. Later on she switched to a singing career. She obtained her voice degree from The Juilliard School in New York and graduated from the Juilliard Opera Center in 2007.

A graduate of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, the American soprano has now sung more than eighty performances at the New York ‘Met’. She has also performed in the Vienna State Opera, Munich’s Bavarian State Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, and Glyndebourne Festival Opera, among others.

Her roles include Olympia in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, both by Richard Strauss, and Constance in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites.

Equally at home on the concert stage, Erin Morley has appeared as a soloist with America’s foremost symphony orchestras, and has toured with Harry Bicket and The English Concert, Louis Langrée and the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, and others.

Erin Morley makes her debut with the Concertgebouworkest in the 2019/20 season.
