violin - academy 2019/2020

Igor Pollet was born in 1993 into a French family of musicians. He started the violin at the age of six and a few years later entered the Conservatoire de Lille, where he studied with Radu Blidar. After graduating from high school, Igor continued his studies in Belgium, in Gent then in Leuven, with Lilia Umnova. 

As a teenager, Igor won the first prize of the Flame competition in Paris.

Igor Pollet regularly performs solo recitals and chamber music concerts across France and Belgium. Since two years, he regularly works in various symphonic orchestras in Lille and Paris, and has been invited to work as concertmaster in several youth orchestras and chamber orchestra projects. 

Igor plays on a modern violin made by Yair Hod Fainas in 2012, with a bow made by Delphine Petitjean.
