Kerem Hasan conducts RCO meets Cyprus

Kerem Hasan will be taking over the concert RCO meets Cyprus on 1 September. This concerts was originally scheduled with Daniele Gatti. The orchestra ended its collaboration with chief conductor Gatti on 2 August.

The concert programme at the Kourion in Episkopi, Cyprus is now as follows:

Wagner – Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg: prelude (Side by Side with young Cypriot musicians as part of RCO meets Europe).
Mahler – Symphony No. 9

Kerem Hasan

Kerem Hasan studied piano and conducting at institutions including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. The recipient of a number of scholarships and stipends, he won the 2018 Aspen Conductor Prize. Hasan made his first appearance with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra when he stood in for Bernard Haitink on 10 June 2018 conducting Mahler’s Symphony No. 9.
