Leonie
Bot

second violin

Leonie Bot studied with Coosje Wijzenbeek at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, with Istvan Párkányi in Amsterdam and with Axel Strauss at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In San Francisco, she also went on to join the New Century Chamber Orchestra.

Bot has performed as a substitute with various orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Flanders Opera.

Bot joined the second violin section of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in April 2013.

She is also a co-organiser of Classical Revolution, an American-inspired classical jam session open to the public and held monthly at Cafe Eijlders in Amsterdam.

The RCO donors’ foundation Stichting Donateurs acquired an L. Storioni violin for Leonie Bot, given to her on loan in 2015.
