Low Horn (with additional instrument Wagner Tuba)

Auditions will be held on 2 (second round) and 3 (final round) February 2021 in Amsterdam.

Repertoire will include:

  • W.A. Mozart, Horn Concerto No. 3 in E-flat major, K. 447
  • R. Strauss, Horn Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major, Op. 11

 This audition is open to:

  • Dutch musicians
  • musicians from abroad, provided that they can legally work in the Netherlands without work permits (Musicians who are citizens of: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Rumania, Slovakia, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland).

For the first audition round recorded solos and excerpts will be requested later at the discretion of the audition committee. Please do not send a recording at this time.

The orchestra's activities include concerts in the Netherlands and abroad as well as radio, CD and television recordings and a broad range of streaming activities.

The Concertgebouworkest works to provide its members with suitable instruments, which are loaned to the musicians during their employment with the orchestra.

We reserve the right to make a preliminary selection based on letters of application and recordings.
