Manfred Honeck to conduct two concert programmes

Manfred Honeck steps in for the concerts on 23 August, 3, 4 and 5 September. These concerts were originally scheduled with Daniele Gatti. The orchestra terminated its collaboration with chief conductor Gatti on 2 August.

The concerts on 23 August (Robeco SummerNights Series at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam), 3 September in Ljubljana (Cankarjev Dom), 4 September in Berlin (Musikfest Berlin) and 5 September in Lucerne (Lucerne Festival) will be taken over unchanged by Manfred Honeck:

Berg – Altenberg Lieder with soprano Anett Fritsch
Bruckner – Symphony No. 3

5 September

Wagner – Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg: prelude to Act III

Manfred Honeck

Manfred Honeck was appointed music director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in the 2008/2009 season. He made previous appearances with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2004 and 2016.
