The law firm Stibbe has been a partner of the Concertgebouworkest since 2007. Stibbe and the Concertgebouworkest share common themes like ambition, personal and professional development, and striving for excellence.
Managing Partner David Orobio de Castro also notes how the orchestra has positioned itself as a training institute. Stibbe, for its part, trains highly talented individuals to become outstanding lawyers and civil-law notaries. Each year, the Concertgebouworkest offers places to a few talented young musicians at the Concertgebouworkest Academy, allowing them to participate in orchestral productions under the guidance of members of the orchestra for a whole concert season.
From its main premises in Amsterdam, Brussels and Luxembourg, as well as offices in Dubai, London and New York, the law firm Stibbe advises its clients on complex local and cross-border legal issues. Employing some 190 lawyers, civil-law notaries and tax specialists, including 40 partners, the Amsterdam office is one of the largest in the Netherlands.
‘Developing talent for top performance is part of Stibbe’s culture and ambition. The musicians of the Concertgebouworkest constantly work to achieve this aim, too. Over and over again, they succeed in surpassing themselves in their performances, thus captivating Dutch and international audiences alike. It’s world-class quality just around the corner from us.’
