The Willem Mengelberg Fonds supports young talents
The Willem Mengelberg Fonds was established in 1920 in honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary of Mengelberg as chief-conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Willem Mengelberg (1871-1951) has been particularly important for the Dutch music scene and its reputation abroad. He was the chief-conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra for half a century.
Since its foundation, the Willem Mengelberg Fonds has been supporting talented conservatory students in their development into professional musicians for over a century.
You are eligible to apply if you:
- finished your bachelor’s and/or are in your master’s;
- are no older than 28 years old;
- are Dutch and/or are studying or working in the Netherlands;
- have applied for the Willem Mengelberg Fonds not more than once before.
The closing day is May 1, 2023.
