Born 1994 in Göttingen, Germany, Victoria Constien received her first cello lessons at the age of six. In 2009 she was accepted into the Junior Department (IFF) of the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, studying with Leonid Gorokhov. She completed the Bachelors degree in 2016.
Victoria Constien was awarded the first prize in the German national youth competition Jugend musiziert several times and received numerous special prizes in its course.
At the age of fifteen, she made her debut with the Göttinger Symphonieorchester, playing Elgar’s Cello Concerto. Since then, she has been performing both as a soloist and a chamber musician.
She participated in masterclasses with Anner Bylsma, Jaap ter Linden, Martin Löhr, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and Jens Peter Maintz.
During the 2016/2017 season, Victoria Constien was a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and of the academy of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester in Hamburg.
