The Willem Mengelberg Fonds supports young talents

For an ambitious music student, it can be a challenge to find enough means to finance your musical career. The Willem Mengelberg Fonds supports conservatory master students in their professional development. You can apply for a contribution by the fund to help finance the participation of a masterclass or course, or another activity in the domain of your education that is aimed at your development into a professional musician or conductor.

Financial support for conservatory students in their Master’s

The Willem Mengelberg Fonds was established in 1920 in honor of the twenty-fifth anniversary of Mengelberg as chief-conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Willem Mengelberg (1871-1951) has been particularly important for the Dutch music scene and its reputation abroad. He was the chief-conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra for half a century.

Since its foundation, the Willem Mengelberg Fonds has been supporting talented conservatory students in their development into professional musicians for over a century.
