Benedikt Enzler

The German cellist Benedikt Maria Enzler studied with Anja Lechner before continuing his Masters studies in cello and chamber music with Helmar Stiehler and Christoph Poppen at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. Additionally he participated in masterclasses with Martin Ostertag, Wolfgang Boettcher, Philippe Muller and Hatto Beyerle and gained orchestral experience with the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival Orchestra, the Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie and as a member of the orchestra academy of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has played as a guest with the Munich Philharmonic and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and having joined the Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2007 he was appointed assistant principal cellist in 2008. 

Benedikt Enzler regularly gives recitals and is a busy chamber musician performing in various ensembles throughout Europe, Asia and America. He has collaborated on a large number of chamber music recordings for CD and radio.
