We’ll perform Beethoven’s iconic Ninth Symphony under the baton of leading conductor Iván Fischer in de Ziggo Dome. A unique opportunity: be part of the grand finale as you sing along with the orchestra, choir and soloists!
About this concert
Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is an absolute highlight in the history of music and has been a huge hit for over 200 years. The finale, a vision of a future in which we are all equal, has been a hit for over 200 years, enchanting people all over the world and bringing them together. It's no surprise that the melody made it to the official anthem of the European Union. ‘Alle menschen werden Brüder!’
Before we perform the complete symphony, conductor Iván Fischer and vocal coach Irene Verburg will prepare the audience allowing everyone to sing along to the Ode ‘An die Freude’ in the finale with the orchestra, a professional choir and four renowned vocal soloists! Prior to the concert, each visitor will receive preparatory material including an introduction by Iván Fischer, vocal technique exercises and instructions on how to find out which part fits your voice. This allows you to get started practising your part at home.
This concert is organised in collaboration with MOJO Concerts.
