About this concert

Barbara Hannigan, a soprano who can sing anything, has in recent years developed into a leading conductor with unique programming ideas. On an atmospheric Late Night concert, the versatile Hannigan leads us through various stages of innocence, loss, mourning and reflection.

You can expect a spiritual musical journey in collaboration with Pierre Audi, the Concertgebouw Orchestra’s creative partner, featuring violinist Vilde Frang performing the Berg Violin Concerto, ‘in memory of an angel’ (Alma Mahler’s daughter who died at the age of eighteen), the near-otherworldly ritual music of Claude Vivier and a leading role for the harp-playing soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou. A unique listening experience!

This programme is made possible with financial support from Ammodo.
