Elena Dubinets

A highly accomplished orchestra executive and music scholar, Elena Dubinets has been Artistic Director of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra since May 2025. Between 2021 and 2025, she was Artistic Director of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, having previously held leading artistic planning positions at the Atlanta and Seattle symphony orchestras. In addition, she serves as curator for The Cleveland Orchestra’s annual Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival. In 2018, Musical America named Ms Dubinets ‘Professional of the Year’.   

Elena Dubinets has written five books, and hundreds of articles, liner notes and program notes in multiple languages. Her latest book, Russian Composers Abroad (Indiana University Press, 2021) was awarded Choice Review’s 2022 Outstanding Academic Title. 

Ms Dubinets received her MA and PhD degrees from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia, lived in the USA since 1996, and moved to Europe in 2021.
