Lou-Anne Dutreix began to play the French horn at the age of seven. She studied in Limoges with Eric Hulin. In Paris, after studying at the École Normale Alfred Cortot, Lou-Anne enrolled in the class of Vladimir Dubois at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in 2021. At the Sincronia Musica masterclasses in Rome she worked with Alessio Allegrini.

Continuing her studies with Jacques Deleplancque at the Conservatoire national supérieur in Paris, Lou-Anne has participated in masterclasses and workshops with musicians such as Sibylle Mahni, Froydis Ree Wekre and Radovan Vlatkovic.

In 2022, Dutreix joined the Orchestre Français des Jeunes, and participated in ‘Un été en France’, a solo and chamber music tour with cellist Gautier Capuçon.

As a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra she has been performing under the direction of Antonio Pappano, Manfred Honeck, Alexandre Bloch, Iván Fischer and Gianandrea Noseda. She has also performed with the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris.

In the 2024-25 season, Dutreix took part in the Academy of the Concertgebouw Orchestra . During her academy year, she won the auditions for low hornist in the Concertgebouw Orchestra, joining the orchestra's horn section in August 2025.
