Simona Collu began her musical studies on the violin at the age of three at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. In 2017, she began studying the viola with Antonello Farulli, later continuing with Bruno Giuranna at the Stauffer Center for Strings in Cremona.
She pursued her bachelor’s degree at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, where she studied with Nobuko Imai, Wenting Kang, and Lawrence Power.
Over the years, Simona has received prizes and distinctions in national and international competitions, including the X Agustín Aponte International Music Competition in Tenerife, Premio Farulli, Premio Crescendo, and the Antonio Salieri Competition for young muscians. She was awarded scholarships for two consecutive years by the Fiesole School of Music as best instrumentalist.
The Italian violist has attended festivals and academies such as the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Imola Summer Music Festival, Internationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum Salzburg, and the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival.
