Musicians in the classroom 

Schools enthusiastic about the apps can participate in a more in-depth programme. In a lesson, the children meet musicians from the Concertgebouworkest and their instrument. Finally, the class pays a visit to the Amsterdam Hall in Gabriël Metsustraat for a concert which ties in with the app and the lessons taught by the musicians.

Special education
The school concerts and the Carnival of the Animals and Peter and the Wolf accompanying apps are suitable for special education.

2024 school concerts

In 2024, these school concerts will take place on:

  • Thursday 14 March and Friday 15 March - Razzmatazz! (for groups 7 and 8).
  • Tuesday 28 May and Wednesday 29 May - Carnival of the Animals(for groups 1 and 2)
  • Monday 3 June and Tuesday 4 June - Peter and the Wolf(for groups 3 and 4) 
  • Thursday 6 June and Friday 7 June - Painting at an Exhibition(for groups 5 and 6)

In June each day at 9.30 a.m., 11.00 a.m. and 12.45 p.m.

Alliantie Muziekeducatie Amsterdam is a partnership between the Concertgebouworkest, the Concertgebouw, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, National Opera and Ballet, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ and Oorkaan.
