Series B Wednesday
Series B offers a comprehensive overview of the symphonic repertoire and a journey through countless highlights from music history.
This season, we once again invite music lovers on a journey through the highlights of musical history. With leading conductors such as Klaus Mäkelä, who interprets, amongst other works, Berlioz’s obsessive love in Symphonie fantastique and Beethoven’s heaven-storming Missa solemnis.
Great soloists, including Seong-Jin Cho, Sol Gabetta and Lisa Batiashvili, bring monumental works to life. Led by guest conductors such as Iván Fischer and Alan Gilbert, who provide contrast and depth and consistently breathe new urgency into the works.
From the indestructible Firebird to Debussy’s turbulent La Mer – Series B remains familiar, yet always surprising.
The Series B Wednesday and Series B Thursday programmes will feature a partially different line-up in the 2026/2027 season. On this page you will find the concerts for Series B Thursday. Both series can also be booked as a half-series of six concerts.
