In the 2026-27 season, our Sunday Matinee programme includes Beethoven’s Missa solemnis, Mahler’s Seventh Symphony and Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique. You will be treated to performances by three renowned pianists: Mao Fujita playing Mozart, Lang Lang playing Saint-Saëns and Emanuel Ax performing John Williams’ Piano Concerto.

Moving works by Schoenberg and Shostakovich remind us of the horrific events of the Second World War. Violinist Janine Jansen performs Beethoven, and our principal cellist Gregor Horsch celebrates the work of Weinberg. Furthermore, this series introduces you to two conductors who’ll make their debut with us, Petr Popelka and Kazuki Yamada.

More options

With the Z series, you will experience ten wonderful Sunday afternoons. Or five, if you prefer a half series (Z1 or Z2).
