At long last… the new Heckel has arrived!
VIDEO - After years of waiting, the orchestra has finally welcomed its new double bassoon, built by Wilhelm Heckel in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Watch as the instrument is unboxed and Simon Van Holen plays it for the very first time.
The purchase of the double bassoon was made possible by the Foundation Concertgebouworkest and the orchestra’s Belgian Global Friends.
