What is ‘Uniquely Great’?

The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra aims to enchant as many people as possible with the magic of classical music. That's why it performs in an increasing variety of venues. In recent years, for example, it has given open-air concerts at various spectacular locations throughout Amsterdam. With the concerts at the Ziggo Dome, the orchestra goes even further: there, around 12,500 music lovers can enjoy the acclaimed sound of the Concertgebouw Orchestra each evening. In the words of our general director, Dominik Winterling: ‘With these concerts at the Ziggo Dome, the Concertgebouw Orchestra will write history. Uniquely Great is the ultimate expression of our ambition to share our passion for classical music with as many people as possible.'
