Klaus Mäkelä

We’ll be seeing a lot more of our chief conductor designate Klaus Mäkelä in The Concertgebouw next season, in six engaging programmes that showcase his vast artistic range. Just a few of the highlights are Rimsky-Korsakov’s enchanting Sheherazade at our traditional Christmas Matinee, Bruckner’s Eighth Symphony, and Bach’s St Matthew Passion – his first time conducting the traditional Passiontide concert.
