Our Ammodo Conducting Masterclass offers a unique opportunity to witness talented young conductors being trained by Paavo Järvi while they are leading the Concertgebouw Orchestra. Each session will be streamed on our video platform the same day from 7 p.m.

About this concert
Over the years, the Ammodo Masterclass has become a household name throughout the world. The three-day masterclass gives four talented young conductors the chance to conduct the Concertgebouw Orchestra while at the same time receiving instruction from a prominent maestro. This time Paavo Järvi will be presiding, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation. Under his supervision the candidates will be conducting a varied selection of works from the symphonic repertoire.
The Ammodo Masterclass is invaluable to the conductors participating, to young musicians and to all music lovers looking to learn more about the fascinating interaction between conductor and orchestra. Thanks to streaming via our website and our social channels, everyone can enjoy the masterclass up close.
Christian Thielemann has unfortunately had to cancel his appearances with us in June 2024 due to illness. We are very grateful to Paavo Järvi for agreeing to lead the Ammodo Conducting Masterclass.
