Jeroen Woudstra
Violist Jeroen Woudstra is a member of the Concertgebouworkest in January 2000. In addition, he forms the highly successful Alma Quartet together with his orchestra colleagues Marc Daniel van Biemen, Benjamin Peled and Clément Peigné.
Woudstra first took music lessons at the age of five. He later studied with Philip Hirshhorn and Keiko Wataya at the Utrecht Conservatory. Upon his graduation, he was awarded a scholarship to continue his studies with Chumachenko Szigmundy and Nobuko Imai at the Mozart Academy in Cracow, Poland.
As a chamber musician, Woudstra has collaborated with such musicians as Emanuel Ax, Kyoko Hashimoto, Charles André Linale, Rainer Moog and Nathaniel Rosen at international festivals in Europe, the United States and Asia.
