First concert abroad since start corona crisis
A livestream on 6 July at 7 p.m. CEST featured the concert by the Royal Concertgebouworkest marking the official state visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands to Germany. The King and Queen offered the concert as a token of their gratitude to the German authorities.
The programme under the direction of Iván Fischer was featuring Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, K 218 with soloist Sylvia Huang and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4. Iván Fischer is named the Concertgebouworkest’s honorary guest conductor with effect from the 2021-22 season.
