Henriette Luytjes
Henriette Luytjes studied with Viktor Liberman at the Utrecht Conservatory. After graduating, she continued her studies with Herman Krebbers. In 1986, she moved to Vienna for three years, where her teachers included Gerhart Hetzel, principal violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Luytjes then joined the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
After returning to the Netherlands, she joined the first violin section of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in March 1991. In the same period, she co-founded the acclaimed Euridice Quartet with colleagues from the orchestra. The quartet has made several CD recordings and given numerous concerts. She is also a member of the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra and the Aemstel Ensemble, and performs regularly on chamber music concerts.
