The Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Bijlmer Parktheatre are now collaborating on a series of groundbreaking concerts seamlessly blending different musical styles and the performing arts. This season, the Bijlmer Klassiek series consists of five concerts on which members of the Concertgebouw Orchestra will be working together with musicians including pianist Anna Fedorova, composer–guitarist Breno Virícimo, spoken word artist Zaïre Krieger, dancer Rutkay Özpinar and clarinettist Martin Fröst, who is serving as the orchestra’s artist in residence this season. Among the music featured on the series are works by Johannes Brahms, André Caplet, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and Nina Simone.

With this new collaboration, the Concertgebouw Orchestra is taking over from its violist Michael Gieler, who organised the successful chamber music series with the Bijlmer Parktheatre in Amsterdam Zuidoost for ten years.
