The Concertgebouw Orchestra performs Handel's opera Acis en Galatea in a delightful mise en espace by Pierre Audi. The Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä is leading the orchestra in Mozart’s emotional Requiem. Jaap van Zweden conducts a concert version of Act I of Die Walküre. The orchestra performs Bach's St Matthew Passion; the annual Passion performance is one of the longest-running concert traditions in the world. The last concert of the 2022-2023 season will be a groundbreaking music performance at de Gashouder: Tan Dun leads the world premiere of his Requiem for Nature.
