Since 2024, Dawidiuk has served as the first Bernard Haitink Associate Conductor in the history of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, concluding his associate conductorship in April 2026, when he will conduct the orchestra in two subscription concerts.

Born in Hanover, Aurel Dawidiuk is not only a conductor but also a pianist and organist. In recent years, he has conducted orchestras including the Bamberg Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. As a pianist and organist, he has performed at major venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Wiener Konzerthaus, and Tonhalle Zürich.

We are very pleased with this significant next step in Aurel’s career and look forward to his concerts next spring.
