Our Annual Gala - a festive concert with a reception beforehand and an after-party - returns on Friday 23 January. The dresscode? Black tie. Jaap van Zweden will conduct the orchestra in colourful music by Wagner and Respighi and will be joined by Leonidas Kavakos for Korngold's cinematic Violin Concerto. After the concert the party will start, with food, drinks and music in several foyers.
How will the evening unfold?
At 7:30 pm we will welcome you with a glass of bubbles in a beautifully decorated Concertgebouw, this time in the style of a hundred years ago. Think Hollywood romance, Jugendstil and the roaring twenties. From 8:30 pm the concert will begin.
Afterwards you can eat, drink, relax, talk or dance until midnight in the Recital Hall, the Mirror Hall, the Choir Hall and the Conductors Foyer. You will also have the opportunity to meet each other and the musicians.
