The Foundation Concertgebouworkest warmly invites you to an exclusive evening dedicated to the Leading Women in Music Fund. On Friday 25 September at 7.30 p.m., we look forward to welcoming you to our home at Gabriël Metsustraat 16 in Amsterdam. During the evening, you will be introduced to the Fund and learn how it contributes to greater visibility for female talent at the highest level of symphonic music. We will also be delighted to tell you how you can support this important initiative through a donation.

Following an introduction to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Fund, you will be given a guided tour of the orchestra’s music studios. Several orchestra members will share their experiences of talent development, role models and the growing presence of women conductors in the international music world.
The evening continues with a joint visit to a concert at the Concertgebouw. Joana Mallwitz will conduct the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Walzerfolge No. 1 from Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 featuring Seong-Jin Cho. Mallwitz enjoys an impressive international career that has taken her to leading orchestras and opera houses around the world.
Following the concert, we are pleased to invite you to an exclusive reception attended by the conductor.
