Haydn: Violin Concerto No. 1 in C major

Concert in the Gallery of Honor of the Rijksmuseum

As part of the Rembrandt year, concertmaster Liviu Prunaru is performing as a soloist for the Night Watch in the Gallery of Honor of the Rijksmuseum on 24 May 2019, accompanied by his Concertgebouworkest colleagues. He is playing on a historical instrument from the Rijksmuseum collection.

Violin

Concertmaster Liviu Prunaru is the soloist in Joseph Haydn's Violin Concerto No. 1 in C Major in the Gallery of Honor of the Rijksmuseum. This concert he performs on a violin built in approx 1610 by Giovanni Paolo Maggini (ca. 1580-ca. 1630). The Rijksmuseum has this violin on long-term loan from the Haags Gemeentemuseum.
