Who was the conductor, who was the soloist? What pieces were performed, and what were the highlights of Young 2019 and 2021?
Concertgebouworkest Young has had three editions in August in Akoesticum in Ede. Meanwhile more than 200 young people have come to the Netherlands to participate in Young, all resulting in very special concerts in the Concertgebouw and concert halls abroad.

Concertgebouworkest Young 2021
The second edition of Concertgebouworkest Young moved from 2020 to 2021 due to the pandemic.
After extra online preparations Young 2021 took place from 5 until 22 August. The orchestra was conducted by Daniel Harding.

Concertgebouworkest Young 2019
The first edition of Concertgebouworkest Young took place in August 2019. The orchestra was under the baton of conductor Pablo Heras-Casado.

Report on Concertgebouworkest YOUNG 2019 - 2022
Below we present the results of our research1 into the three editions of Young, based on surveys, interviews and fieldwork undertaken during the Summer Schools. The evaluation research focuses on the extent to which the Young programme has been able to make progress towards the three undermentioned outcomes:
- Provide access to a high-quality music programme for “hidden” talented youth.
- Support the musical, but also the social and personal development of the participating youth.
- Establish a community of active students and alumni who will inspire and help others through their music.
