Brass ensemble of the Concertgebouw Orchestra celebrates 750 years of Amsterdam
On the A10 ring road, eleven brass players of the Concertgebouw Orchestra play a festive programme twice, featuring music by Bach, Albéniz and Gershwin.

About this concert
On 21 June, the longest day of the year, Amsterdam's 750th anniversary will be celebrated with various festivities on the southern section of the A10 ring road, which will be car-free for the occasion. On the Open Stage near the S108 exit, an ensemble of 11 brass players from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will perform a scintillating programme of about 20 minutes twice: at 12.30 p.m. and at 2.10 p.m. Albéniz's Spanish rhythms will be followed by Bach's radiant cantata Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, and a swinging medley of Gershwin melodies.
