Pedro de Elvas Raposo

Pedro de Elvas Raposo graduated in 2020 at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, where he is currently finishing his master’s degree with Quirijn van Regteren Altena and his early music studies with Margaret Urquhart. Previously, he attended the Covilhã Professional School of Arts in Portugal, winning first prize in its competition in 2013. 

During his studies, Pedro de Elvas Raposo played in national youth orchestras in Portugal, Romania, and the Netherlands. He gained experience as part of both modern and period ensembles, playing with the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. In 2019, the double bass player won the second prize at the Viennese Bass Days in Amsterdam.
