Elías Blanco Del Prado
Born in Guardo, Spain, Elías Blanco Del Prado first started playing percussion at his local music school and concert band. Aged fifteen, he enrolled at the conservatory of Salamanca, where he studied under Jose Antonio Caballero.
In 2022, Elías completed his bachelor studies in music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he took classes with Nick Woud, Tomohiro Ando, Mark Braafhart, Bence Major, Richard Jansen, Arnold Marinissen, Rachel Xi Zhang and Ramon Lormans. He remained in Amsterdam to pursue his master’s degree. In seizoen 2022/2023 he participated in the academy of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
A passionate percussionist, Elías Blanco Del Prado has performed with orchestras such as the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra and Het Balletorkest. He is a regular replacement player with the Netherlands and Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestras.
