Violist Guus Jeukendrup joined the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in September 1992. He studied with Matthias Maurer and Jürgen Kussmaul at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he graduated with honours in 1994.

In addition to his orchestral work, he is an active chamber musician, having given numerous concerts and made various CD recordings with the L’Archibudelli ensemble (which also includes Vera Beths, Jürgen Kussmaul and Anner Bylsma).

In addition, he performs regularly with Asko|Schoenberg, the Nieuw Ensemble and various ensembles made up of members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

Since 2015 Guus Jeukendrup plays a Ansaldo Poggi viola from 1940, which could be purchased by RCO donors’ foundation Stichting Donateurs with gifts i.a. received on the occassion of the departure of RCO's general manager Jan Willem Loot.
