Luna Vigni

Luna Vigni completed her master’s degree with honours with Andrea Oliva at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, where she is currently pursuing her master in solo performance with Felix Renggli.

Vigni has played in orchestras, chamber formations and solo performances. A member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra since 2018, she went on tour with the orchestra in the 2019/20 season. She was also a member of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

In 2020 she performed with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano and was appointed principal flautist of the Gürzenich Orchestra in Cologne.

Luna Vigni won many awards for her solo performances, including the Premio virtuoso of the Salzburg Mozarteum and the Rising Star Award 2018 at the Galway Flute Festival, which she had the honour of opening with the youth orchestra ArteViva.
