Bruckner live

CD box - September 4, 2024 marks the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner’s birth. The Concertgebouw Orchestra will celebrate that landmark by playing his symphonies Nos. 1 to 9 within a year and a half, under the direction of nine renowned conductors. However the project will kick off with a look into the glorious past of the orchestra’s Bruckner tradition with the release of a 9CD box.

The Bruckner project will kick off with a look into the glorious past of the orchestra’s Bruckner tradition with the release of a 9CD box set featuring (mostly unreleased*) first rate recordings of the finest recorded live performances of the nine numbered Bruckner symphonies since the early 1970s. The box set will be available in a limited edition and will be distributed digitally as nine separate (full length) albums.
